The leader of the Saskatchewan Liberal Party says he's keeping his options open for a run in one of two byelections expected in October. Ryan Bater was installed as leader in February. Currently, the provincial grits have not seats in the legislature, having been shut out the past two general elections. Bater says the byelections will be a chance for voters to send a message about the kind of job the government and opposition party are doing. Beginning tomorrow, Bater says he's embarking on a summer tour across the province. Bater says he won't impose his wishes and instead wants local constituencies to be in control of nominating candidates.
